Gloria Casale and Janet Gregor –  Poisons and Other Nefarious Ways to Kill

Not only are both Gloria Casale and Janet Gregor experts in the medical field, they’re both accomplished writers and know a lot of nefarious stuff.

Poisons are an interesting alternative to guns in a mystery novel. However, the writer needs to consider these questions when selecting a poison:

  • Is the poison lethal in small, undetectable dose(s)?
  • What are the characteristics of the victim? Some individual (i.e. elderly) take multiple medications and might not notice a small change in their pills.
  • Does the murderer have access to poison(s)?
  • Are traces of the poison easy to detect? Labs generally test for only a limited number of substances in blood.

They hope you’ll have fun picking your poison.
